Off to Scotland

So, in June we are heading off to Scotland for some Island hopping exploration and adventure. Why? The stunning scenery, special quiet anchorages, Whisky dislleries, a host of tiny islands each with their own special atmosphere, and lots of marine wildlife- which includes dolphins & whales, basking sharks, seals and a whole host of birdlife.

Melissa’s favourite places

I have sailed for three summers up on the West Coast of Scotland initially with Gordonstoun on their sail training boat Ocean Spirit of Moray, and then for two years on Eda Frandsen. It always had the ability to take my breath away with amazing sailing and awe inspiring landscapes. You can truly experience every season in a day, which makes it fairly interesting when trying to make wardrobe choices in the morning.

New Year

New Year has arrived in a rush as usual. After a short break in Istanbul in the snow and the obigatary visit to the Naval Museum, Luke is back to work in the new Rhoda Mary Heritage Yard in Truro. If you are a Facebook user then you are probably aware that Luke has started building again- a 68ft Falmouth Pilot Cutter along the lines of a vessel called the Vincent.
