With just over a month until Pellew is launched and she makes another step towards going sailing this summer we thought we would introduce you to her skipper for her maiden season.

Yes, you have got it! Luke is going to be at Pellew’s tiller for the summer.

He is excited to lay down his tools and step back onboard as full time skipper for this coming year. Having been with Pellew from her conception, all the way through the build and now pushing the project on towards her sailing this summer he is looking forward to getting her out sailing this summer with you as her guest crew.

He has dedicated his whole life to building, researching and sailing wooden working boats and is a source of amazing stories about his own life at sea and also the history of the boats he has built. He loves sailing around the west country, Isles of Scilly and Brittany and enjoys sailing as much as he possibly can. A natural salty sea dog that loves to share his passion for sailing with all his crew.

When you ask him what he is looking forward to most it’s hard to get a specific answer but one of his highlights for next summer will be the festivals that Pellew will be attending; Brest and Dournanez, Falmouth Classics and Mousehole: Sea, salt and sails. Great gatherings of wooden boats and their like minded owners in France and Cornwall.
